Here are the first pictures of a very spontaneous trip to thailand. We started in Phuket and went further north to Khao Lak, to do some diving at the Similian Islands. It was a relaxing trip and I had plenty of time to do at least one sketch a day.

 It´s cold outside and I finally got enough courage to carry my sketchbook with me when going out. So here a some impressions from some recent nights in darmstadt.

And finally...

Last week I spend five days in Paris. The outside temperature was not not very inviting to do any drawings at all, so most of the sketches are a bit messy and impatiently done.
Before I left I accidently ordered the wrong size of moleskine watercolour note book (9 x 14cm instead of 13 x 21cm). But after getting used to the small format I found it quite useful to have a sketchbook that fits in the pockt of my coat.
Most of the time I was kind of walking an drawing the same time, trying to concentrate on the essential elemtens. Looking back i don´t know why I did spend more time in cafes to draw, but I guess I was just to curious about walking around the city and exploring different places. I definitely need to come back in summer...

Viviarium Darmstadt

Had a wonderful day with Sabrina in the Vivarium, Darmstadt. We started with "not to much moving" objects. All the reptieles were doing a perfect model job. The "Säbelschnäbler" were to funny to be ignored. In the afternoon then we ended up in the pet´s corner, which turned out be the most challenging part...
